Panorama of Theale High Street displayed at WW1 Celebration Fete

If you, like me, were really impressed with the panorama of the north side of Theale High Street as it was then you may be interested to know that it was drawn by Roy Townsend, who lives in Church Street. The drawing is annotated with who used to live in the houses and ran the shops, pubs (a lot of those!) and businesses, and what they are today.

Roy had to "burn the midnight oil" to get the panorama finished in time to be exhibited at the WW1 Fete.

Theale Parish Council hopes that the panorama can be put on permanent display soon.
