Please watch out for travellers trying to enter land in Theale

It was noticed today that the security gates protecting Theale Parish Council's playing fields in North Street had been interfered with, making them insecure. It is suspected that travellers had done this to allow them entry onto the fields. Travellers moved onto a site in Newbury in the last couple of days.

One of the parish councillors has arranged for a skip to be put into the entrance to try to prevent unauthorised entry. He also warned Great Western Trains, as the height restrictors at the station were not in place.

If you see anyone suspicious trying to drive a vehicle onto any of the playing fields, or other open land in Theale, then please call the police on 101 and quote incident number FP4098805-12.
